Tsukiji fish market is where Tokyo gets 90% of it's fish market. It is the biggest fish market in the world and is famous for its bluefin tuna auction. This place makes Pikes place fish market in Seattle look like a Publix seafood section.
Samurai Fish slicer. These guys may as well have been holding razor-thin light sabers, they cut so smoothly.
I like this picture because of the colors, barnacles on the lobster, and the cool reflection of the japanese light.
The vendor of this bluefin was pretty nervous when he saw Zach going in for a bite.
Outside the fish market were tiny sushi restaurants that only seated about 6-8 people. They serve fish cought that day from the market, and all had lines coming out the door. This is our chef meticulously preparing our our sushi.
The spread. Never have we ever experienced sushi like this. Being immersed in the fish market, then eating this meal, has to be something akin to making a pilgrimage to sushi mecca, only bathing in soy sauce, and praying to the sushi gods for a month.
